Thinking out loud!

Ferhat Karmil

Dear subscribers, we apologize for the error related to the newsletter.
Accidentally, the automatic mode was turned on for sending letters to subscribers, which included letters with links to articles that are no longer relevant on the site. Unnecessary articles on ChessStar have been deactivated, but nevertheless ended up, to our deep regret, on the mailing list!
We will definitely fix this bug! Once again, we apologize!

Taking this opportunity, I want to express on my own behalf my attitude towards the WFCC, which treated Russian composers in a completely inadequate and biased way. The very fact of the so-called “vote” carried out by this federation in relation to Russian composers caused me a feeling of indignation, though not immediately, to be honest! Since I, like many others of us, was in a state of shock during this period, and, therefore, could not adequately respond to all these horrors that we unwittingly witnessed.
One thing I can firmly say is that Russian composers, at least many of them, do not bear any moral responsibility for those tragic events that the whole free world beholds with such horror!

How is it possible that a chess composer is forced to publish his works not under the flag of his country?! And on what basis? This is an elementary humiliation and an insult to the patriotic feelings of a person! And the excuses that come from the “mouthpieces of the free chess world”, such as “we were given such an order” are hypocritical and cowardly!
After all, following this approach, then we can say that none of the composers of the West and the United States should publish their creations under the flag of their country, since in the history of each of them there are many black spots that blatantly trampled, besides massively, human rights and freedom!
Should I name these countries? I think it’s not worth it, they are already well known to you!

Therefore, in conclusion, I can say that this decision of the WFCC, in relation to Russian composers, is, I am not afraid of this word, discriminatory in nature!
And throw, dear leaders and their henchmen, into the trash of our relatively small history this hypocritical slogan “Gens una sumus"!
There is no unity, and there is no family, because you "guardians of justice" with persistent cruelty kill everything that was beautiful and sublime in it thanks to our great predecessors!
You are definitely not a match for them!
