ChessStar Info

Informational message

Issues with updates have been resolved on the site, the functionality has already been adapted to new PHP versions.
Now you can safely submit your compositions to ChessStar contests!
Write about your wishes by e-mail, what would you like to see new on the site, in terms of functionality, holding contests and so on. We will be glad to consider all your suggestions, and if they deserve attention – let's put it into practice.
Our e-mail: info@chessstar.com. P.S. We kindly ask you not to respond to mailing letters by sending us, sometimes, your compositions, since practically all letters received by e-mail: subscribe@chessstar.com automatically fall into spam and then deleted by the system!
According to the Site Rules, when indicating a solution to your composition, use only English notation in the text field of the Diagram Editor program.
Sample below:

King – K (King)
Queen – Q (Queen), undesirable – D
Rook – R (Rook), undesirable – T
Elephant – B (Bishop), undesirable – L
Horse – N (Knight), undesirable – S

And the last. You should also avoid unnecessary ramifications in the solutions to your papers. Please indicate the main solution, plus additional ones, but which are thematically closely related.
Further. When commenting on the decision to your work, avoid any kind of epithets praising your creation. It is the judge's prerogative!
Remember that a good work will not spoil the scarcity of a comment to it, and a bad – will not get better, from excessive narrative solution to your brainchild!
To paraphrase a well-known Russian proverb, we can say this: according to the comments they meet, but according to the task or study they see off!

Creative success!
